At CrossFit Chamblee, we believe that fitness is a journey that should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone, at every stage of life. Our community is built on support, encouragement, and the firm belief that movement is medicine.
However, we also recognize that as we age, our bodies’ needs and abilities change. What was once a simple workout can become intimidating, and some of our neighbors in the 55+ community have shared that “all-levels” classes can feel a bit too fast or intense.
We’ve heard you. And more importantly, we want to help. This is why we offer our CFC Legends program.
CFC Legends is a dedicated class for individuals aged 55 and older who are looking for a fitness program that’s fun, challenging, effective, and above all, safe. Every session is built around simple, everyday movements, at a pace that you can handle.
Our goal is simple: to meet you exactly where you are. This isn’t about setting world records or measuring up to someone else; it’s about maintaining mobility, building strength for daily life (like carrying groceries or playing with grandkids), and feeling your best — all while connecting with others who are in the same phase of life.
Each 45-minute session is led by our Head Coach, who is there specifically to guide you — not just watch you. You’ll work through simple, practical movements at a pace that makes sense for your body. Some days will feel easier than others, and that’s completely normal. Progress here isn’t measured against anyone else. It’s measured against where you started.
Expect to move in a safe, healthy way. Expect to smile and laugh a lot. Expect to leave feeling better than when you walked in. And expect to look forward to the next session!
You might be wondering how this differs from a standard gym class. Here is what will make the CFC Legends experience special:
- Expert Coaching, Tailored to You: Every single movement is designed and “scaled” down to meet your individual fitness level and any existing limitations or old injuries. We prioritize form over speed. No matter who you are, you can do this!
- A Pace that Works for You: There is no pressure to “keep up.” We focus on quality of movement and mindful breathing.
- A Safe and Welcoming Atmosphere: We’ve created a space where you can ask questions, take your time, and build confidence without feeling judged.
- Building Your Community: The social aspect is a cornerstone of this program. We’ve built time into each session for conversation and connection.
Come try a Legends class! We invite you to join us for a free trial session; this is the perfect, zero-pressure opportunity to experience the program and see if it’s the right fit for you.
- When: Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Time: 10:45 AM – 11:30 AM (45-minute sessions)
- Location: CrossFit Chamblee
- Do I need to be “in shape” to start?
Not at all. This program is designed specifically for folks who haven’t been to a gym in a while. Wherever you’re starting from, this class is built for you.
- What kinds of exercises will be be doing?
We’ll focus on movements your body already does every day — things like sitting down and standing back up, reaching, pushing, and picking things up. Nothing fancy, nothing intimidating. Just movement that helps you feel better and stay independent.
- What should I wear/bring?
Just comfortable clothes you can move in, a pair of comfortable sneakers, and perhaps a water bottle.
- What if I have an injury or limited mobility?
This program is for you! Every movement we do can be modified to work around any limitation, and you’ll never be pushed beyond what’s appropriate for your body.
- You’re 55 or older and want to improve your strength and mobility in a safe, coached, lower intensity environment.
- You’ve been interested in joining a gym but felt other classes/gyms weren’t a good fit.
- You’re looking for a community of like-minded individuals to move and connect with.
